British parliamentary delegation visits northeastern Syria

A British parliamentary delegation visited on Monday evening the External Relations Office of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria in the city of Qamishli to learn about the requirements and challenges of the region.
The two sides concluded their meeting with a press conference, where Amal Dada, the co-chair of the External Relations Office in the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria talked about the content of the discussed issues, “the challenges that face the Autonomous Administration of northeastern Syria, and the presence of the large numbers of militants, families and children in the three camps in northeast Syria”.
While the British delegation included journalists and researchers, the head of the delegation and member of the British Parliament for the Labor Party, Lloyd Russell-Moyle spoke about the importance of the reconstruction issue “to undermine the radical thought of the Islamic State (ISIS) by supporting the reconstruction of these territories, and to support a democratic system based on the concept of democratic confederation”.
According to the External Relations Office, the visiting delegation will make further visits in northeastern Syria, to learn more about the requirements and challenges of the region.
