Locals in Afrin on Sunday have found a body of a civilian, Sharafeddin Sido 60 years, from Jinderis northwestern Afrin, who was earlier kidnapped from the city of Azaz, northern Aleppo on May 13th, along with another citizen Rashid Khalil and his handicapped child.
Sources from inside the Kurdish city of Afrin reported that the body, which was thrown on a road in orchards in the village of Qestel-Jindo, was burnt with visible traces of torture.
The Syrian-Kurdish civilian Sharafeddin Sido appeared earlier in a video-recording calling on his wife and family to pay the ransom which was demanded by the kidnappers and had asked his wife to sell everything they got in exchange for securing money in order to save his life.
Sido spoke during the recorded-video about the torture he was subjected to during his abduction, in addition to depriving him of food.
Relatives of the family indicated that Sharafeddin Sido was killed after the last attempt by the family to save him by paying a ransom of 10,000 USD, under the control of “Al-Sharqiyah” armed group and the Turkish army, according to “Afrin Media Center”.
The Turkish-backed armed militia then claimed that the ransom money was lost during clashes, until the body of Sharafeddin was found yesterday, while the fate of the handicapped child is still unknown, while the body of the other civilian, Rachid Khalil, was previously found on the 23rd of May on Qestel-Jindo road northeastern Afrin, with visible effects of torture.
Local civilians of the area and observers accuse the Turkish-backed Al-Sharqiyah armed group, that controls Jinderis district, of kidnapping the three civilians and killing them out of ransom.
