Syrian, U.S. military officials discuss counterterrorism, regional issues

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Ministry of Defense on Tuesday said Chief of the General Staff Major General Ali al-Naasan met with Rear Admiral Liam M. Hulin, commander of the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR).

The ministry said al-Naasan discussed with the U.S. delegation counterterrorism efforts and regional developments.

Earlier on Tuesday, al-Naasan, accompanied by several officers, met with a delegation from the U.S. military.

According to the ministry, the meeting addressed several issues of mutual interest, foremost among them counterterrorism efforts and regional developments.
