Israeli forces raid villages, search homes in southern Syria
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Thursday entered areas in western Daraa and southern Quneitra, southern Syria, accompanied by raids and searches of residents’ homes.
Local sources told North Press that Israeli military vehicles entered Jamla village in western Daraa, coming through the Tel Abu al-Ghaithar gate and setting up a temporary checkpoint on the Saisoun-Jamla road.
Four Israeli military vehicles entered the village and carried out raids and searches of residents’ homes, the sources said.
Hours later, Israeli forces carried out a similar operation in Ain Ziwan village in southern Quneitra. The forces moved from the Tel Ahmar base and began raiding and searching several homes before withdrawing hours later to forward positions in the buffer zone at Tel Ahmar Gharbi.
The latest operations bring the number of separate Israeli operations in southern Syria to three in less than two days.
