Israeli forces intensify military activity in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Monday launched heavy fire on residential areas in Daraa countryside, southern Syria, while Israeli military vehicles carried out an extensive ground incursion into Jamla village.
Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces stationed at the Al-Jazeera barracks fired heavy machine guns at houses and western neighborhoods in Maariyah village, with no injuries reported. The attack sparked fear among residents.
The sources added that Jamla village in western Daraa witnessed a ground incursion by an Israeli force of 10 military vehicles, which entered from the Tel Abu al-Ghaithar gate at around 11 PM.
The force advanced toward the Saisoun-Jamla road, then moved into the northeastern neighborhoods of the village, deploying extensively among residential areas and searching several homes.
The sources said Israeli forces renewed their incursion into Jamla early Tuesday, using four additional military vehicles in the Yarmouk Basin area.
They added that the forces conducted detailed searches of the same homes they had searched during the initial overnight incursion.
