QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Lebanese army detained a Syrian man on Wednesday while he was allegedly attempting to smuggle rocket shells into Lebanon, the army said.
A military unit detained the man at the Syrian-Lebanese border in Aihah, Rashaya, while he was allegedly attempting to smuggle a quantity of rocket shells into Lebanon, according to a statement.
The army said another unit detained 10 Syrians in Shaath, Baalbek, over their alleged involvement in an altercation inside one of the camps in the town.
The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, while investigations into the detainees began under the supervision of the competent judiciary, the statement said.
