Israeli forces release man after raid in Syria’s Quneitra
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces on Saturday released a man they had detained during a raid near the town Jubata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, amid repeated Israeli incursions into the area.
Israeli forces on Friday also entered the villages of Maariya and Kuya in the western countryside of Daraa, firing heavy bursts over residential areas and causing fear among residents.
Local sources told North Press that Israeli forces raided several homes in Jubata al-Khashab during their incursion.
The sources said the raid resulted in the detention of a young man identified as Faisal, who was released several hours later as the forces withdrew from the area.
The area also witnessed heavy gunfire during the incursion and raid, according to the same sources.
Two days earlier, Israeli forces shelled agricultural land near Samadaniya al-Gharbiya village in central Quneitra, firing three artillery rounds. No casualties or material damage were reported.
