SDF fighters wounded in separate attacks across Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Several fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were wounded late Sunday in a series of separate attacks targeting SDF positions in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that unidentified gunmen targeted an SDF headquarters in the town of Diban, east of Deir ez-Zor, wounding one fighter before the attackers fled after running out of ammunition.
The source said that another attack using automatic weapons targeted an SDF military post in the town of al-Boubadran, also in the east of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in injuries to two SDF fighters.
In a third incident, unidentified gunmen attacked an SDF military post in the village of Hawaij and another position in Abu Hamam.
These attacks caused material damage only, with no reported injuries, according to the source.
The source stressed that the SDF deployed patrols in the targeted areas in an effort to track down the attackers and restore security.
