Israeli forces cross into Syria’s Quneitra under helicopter cover
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli army unit crossed on Sunday into the northern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, under the cover of helicopter flights along the border strip adjacent to the Golan Heights.
According to Syria’s state-run news agency SANA, an Israeli patrol consisting of three Hummer vehicles and a Hilux car advanced into Syrian territory along the road connecting the towns of Hader and Trangeh.
Meanwhile, another Israeli military convoy, including several armored vehicles and three tanks, reportedly moved from the area of destroyed Quneitra (known as the al-Burj) toward the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah, SANA said.
These movements inside Syrian territory coincided with Israeli helicopter hovering over the border area.
