ISIS gunmen execute shepherd in Syrian Desert over sorcery accusation
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Gunmen affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) killed on Monday night a man in the countryside of Palmyra, central Syria, accusing him of practicing sorcery, local sources reported.
A local source told North Press that ISIS militants stormed the home of Nawras al-Shueil, a shepherd residing in a desert area near Palmyra, and shot him dead in front of his family.
The source added that the attackers told the family the killing was due to the victim’s alleged involvement in sorcery.
He added that the attackers placed his body in a Hyundai vehicle and fled toward the depths of the Syrian Desert.
