Israeli forces conduct house searches, surveys in Syria’s Quneitra
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli army convoy entered on Sunday the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, where soldiers carried out extensive house searches and conducted field surveys among local residents.
Local sources told North Press that the convoy included several armored vehicles and dozens of soldiers who deployed in the village of Sayda al-Hanout, launching thorough inspections of homes for unknown reasons.
The sources added that the operation caused widespread concern among the residents, particularly after soldiers collected personal data from a number of villagers.
According to the sources, the soldiers also offered some residents humanitarian and service assistance, apparently as an attempt to gain their trust or gather information about their needs.
Residents noted that many people in Quneitra Governorate have previously refused to accept Israeli aid, with some villages even burning the distributed supplies in protest.
