ISIS attack kills 4 SDF fighters in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday the killing of four of its fighters during clashes with Islamic State (ISIS) cells in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
In a statement, the SDF said the attack occurred in the village of Burayha, where its fighters confronted the militants, killing one ISIS member in the process.
The statement added that SDF forces continue to pursue the fugitives and work to restore security in the area.
“Our forces continue to pursue the other terrorists and reinforce security, affirming that the blood of our martyrs is a pledge to carry on crushing ISIS remnants and defeating terrorism once and for all,” the statement read.
