Israeli forces raid Syria’s Quneitra, arrest 4 residents
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces carried out on Wednesday a surprise incursion into towns in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, arresting four people, local sources told North Press.
According to the sources, Israeli troops conducted extensive raids and searches on the outskirts of Jubata al-Khashab and in the town of Khan Arnabah, north of Quneitra. The operation lasted several hours and resulted in the arrest of four young men.
The detainees were identified as two men from the village of Ofania, one from Jubata al-Khashab, and another from Khan Arnabah. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
The raids coincided with intensified Israeli military movements along the border strip with the occupied Golan Heights, heightening local concerns about further escalations and the possibility of similar operations in other areas.
This is the first time Israeli forces have carried out such a raid inside Khan Arnabah, raising questions about the future course of events in Quneitra amid growing tensions along the Golan separation line and speculation about an expansion of Israeli operations.
