Israeli troops detain civilians in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces arrested on Thursday two civilians from the village of al-Ruwayhini in central Quneitra countryside, close to the separation line with the Syrian Golan.

Since early August, southern Syria has seen over ten Israeli incursions, in addition to drone strikes and air raids that have left around 14 people dead, the majority of them Syrian army personnel.

An Israeli military unit arrested Ahmad Ibrahim al-Hussein and Ghazi Khaled al-Jassem, taking them to an unknown destination after searching several houses in the village, a local source told North Press.

According to the source,  Israeli forces intensified patrols along the border Thursday morning, coinciding with reconnaissance aircraft flying over Quneitra countryside.
