DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) –An Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle targeted on Tuesday afternoon a military site belonging to the former Fourth Division in Rural Damascus.

Local sources told North Press that the strike hit former Fourth Division positions in the al-Mu’adhamiya mountains.

The incident is part of a pattern of repeated Israeli strikes across Syrian territory since the fall of the Assad regime’s early security apparatus. Over the past decade, Israeli forces have frequently targeted military sites, arms depots, and positions of the Syrian army and allied militias, citing security concerns and attempts to limit the transfer of weapons to regional armed groups. These strikes have occurred across multiple governorates, including Damascus, Quneitra, Homs, and Aleppo

No information regarding casualties or the extent of the damage has been reported so far. The Syrian transitional government has not issued any statement regarding the Israeli strike at the time of reporting.
