Blast on Syria’s Mount Hermon injures 7 Israeli soldiers
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Seven Israeli soldiers were injured on Wednesday when an old Syrian explosive detonated on Mount Hermon in southwestern Syria, Israeli media reported.
According to the Israeli platform Hadashot Bazman, four of the soldiers sustained serious injuries, while three others were lightly wounded.
The reports said the device, described as an old Syrian bomb, exploded while troops were handling it at the site.
Israeli forces have been stationed on Mount Hermon since the collapse of the former Syrian regime in the area.
The Israeli military has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and said it is taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of its personnel in the area.
