Israeli forces conduct raids on weapons sites in southern Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli army announced on Sunday that its forces carried out coordinated raids on four separate targets in southern Syria.

In a statement posted on Facebook, IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee said that Israeli forces discovered and seized weapons during the operation.

According to Adraee, the overnight operation was conducted by Brigade 226 under the command of Division 210, in coordination with field operatives from Unit 504. The operation targeted suspected arms traffickers in the vicinity of Hader village, southern Syria.

He noted that the raids were based on prior intelligence and an in-depth field investigation, which enabled the forces to carry out simultaneous raids on four locations, resulting in the discovery of a significant cache of weapons.

Adraee concluded by stating that Division 210 remains deployed in the field to prevent the establishment of terrorist infrastructure along the Syrian border and to ensure the security of Israeli citizens.
