About 500 people leave Syria’s Suwayda for Daraa
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – A new group of people departed on Wednesday Suwayda Governorate, southern Syria for Daraa countryside.
Local sources told North Press that the latest group included approximately 500 people, primarily from Bedouin and tribal families.
The sources added that the majority of people leaving were women and children, noting that the convoy leaving Suwayda comprised six buses and 45 private vehicles.
This followed an agreement between the Syrian transitional government and armed Druze groups after violent clashes in Suwayda, which erupted last week.
