Israeli forces briefly enter military post in Syria’s Quneitra

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces withdrew in the early hours of Monday morning from the Rasm al-Halabi area in the central countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, following a brief incursion the previous evening.

North Press correspondent said that an Israeli patrol consisting of several armored vehicles crossed into the area on Sunday night and advanced toward the Rasm al-Halabi outpost, a former military position previously held by Syrian government forces.

The patrol remained at the site for several hours before withdrawing at dawn, with no reported security incidents during the operation.

This marks the second such entry by Israeli forces into the same location this year. A similar maneuver took place on March 8, when Israeli troops entered the outpost and left a few hours later.

In a related development, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were observed conducting aerial surveillance over Quneitra, with flight paths extending as far as Daraa and Suwayda governorates on Sunday evening—highlighting continued Israeli monitoring activity along the southern Syrian front.
