Israel set up security zones in Syria to protect Israelis – Netanyahu

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that Israel has established security zones in both Syria and Lebanon to safeguard its citizens.

Following the announcement of the first Israeli soldier’s death in recent operations, Netanyahu remarked that this war comes with a heavy price, adding he has instructed the army to respond with full force and to intensify pressure on Hamas.

Netanyahu emphasized that the country is at a critical juncture in the conflict, stating that they will not yield to Hamas.

He also reiterated his commitment to regional security, stating determination to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Addressing the war in Gaza, Netanyahu warned if Hamas’ military capabilities are not dismantled, events like October 7, 2023, could happen again.

He added the war will not end until Hamas is eliminated and hostages are brought home.
