Unknown gunmen kill SDF fighter in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen killed on Friday evening a member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on Amer al-Shafiq using a machine gun near the main road between the towns of al-Busayrah and Burayha, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The source said al-Shafiq died instantly at the scene, while the attackers fled the area.
According to the source, al-Shafiq was an SDF fighter and had been on leave at the time of the attack.
