Turkey fails to advance in north Syria amid intensified attacks – SDF
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated on Sunday that Turkey and its affiliated Syrian armed factions have failed to make progress in their ongoing offensive on Tishrin Dam and the Qaraqozaq Bridge, northern Syria, which has been ongoing for three months.
According to the SDF, Turkish attacks on northern Syria have persisted without pause.
On Saturday, Turkish warplanes launched multiple airstrikes targeting worker housing units near Tishrin Dam, southeast of Manbij, while heavy artillery and mortar shelling hit the dam’s surrounding countryside, causing material damage.
The SDF added that villages around Qaraqozaq Bridge came under artillery, tank, rocket launcher, and mortar fire, leading to further destruction of civilian homes and properties.
