General Security forces arrest 2 former NDF members in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The General Security forces of Syria’s caretaker government arrested on Tuesday two individuals for allegedly targeting public security patrols in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, a local security source.

The source said that the General Security forces raided the town of Sabikhan in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, detaining Mohammed Khalaf al-Shaeiti and Omar al-Qalai on suspicion of carrying out attacks on patrols several days earlier.

Both suspects were former members of the National Defense Forces (NDF), a militia affiliated with the toppled Assad regime, and were reportedly found in possession of automatic weapons and grenades at the time of their arrest.

The source added that ongoing investigations will be made public on social media once completed.
