Turkish forces target fuel station in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces targeted on Monday a fuel station in the north of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, using heavy artillery.

An eyewitness from nearby villages said that artillery shells struck the “Abu Karmo” fuel station near the village of Rabiat in the countryside of Zirgan (Abu Rasin). No casualties were reported, as the station had ceased operations prior to the attack.

The eyewitness told North Press, “Around 10 artillery shells landed in the western neighborhood of Zirgan, causing significant damage to several homes. However, no casualties were reported, as the neighborhood has been uninhabited since last year.”

Turkish artillery frequently targets villages between Zirgan and Tel Tamr, resulting in the temporary displacement of residents and disrupting travel with roadblocks that can last for hours due to repeated shelling.
