Jordan allows entry of Syrians residing abroad without prior approval
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Jordanian Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that Syrians living abroad can now enter Jordan without requiring prior approvals.
According to the Ministry’s statement, this policy applies to Syrians residing in European countries, the Americas, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
However, the statement specified that entrants must hold a valid residency permit of at least four months in the country from which they are arriving.
The official Jordanian news agency Petra, citing a source in the Ministry of Interior, reported that the decision aims to facilitate the return of Syrians in those countries to their homeland.
