SDF mourns 7 fighters killed in Turkish attacks on northern Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Sunday the killing of seven fighters in attacks launched by Turkish forces and their affiliated armed factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), in northern Syria.
The SDF Media Center stated that Turkey and its affiliated factions have been relentless in their efforts to advance during their ongoing offensive, which has persisted for over a month in northeastern Syria.
The attacks have primarily targeted critical areas such as the Tishrin Dam and the Qaraqozaq Bridge in northern Syria.
The SDF added that its fighters valiantly repelled these attacks, preventing the Turkish-backed SNA factions from making significant advances, particularly near the Tishrin Dam.
Turkey and its SNA factions have been conducting military operations in northern Syria, focusing on the vicinity of the Tishrin Dam and carrying out artillery and airstrikes in the countryside in Kobani.
