Israeli forces advance into southern Syria, enforce curfews

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces made on Wednesday an unprecedented incursion into new areas in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, imposing curfews in the region.

A local source told North Press that Israeli military forces, accompanied by several tanks and armored vehicles, entered the town of al-Esha, south of Quneitra.

The source added that the forces split into two groups: one stationed in al-Esha, while the other advanced further to occupy a former regime military point in the village of Abu Gara, east of al-Esha.

Another incursion saw Israeli forces reach a tank battalion position near the town of al-Hiran, where they established a new military outpost.

The source confirmed that Israeli troops imposed a curfew in the areas they advanced into, firing shots into the air to enforce compliance.
