Israeli forces injure 6 people during protest in southern Syria
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Six people were injured on Wednesday during a demonstration the village of Swisah in the southeast of Quneitra, southern Syria, following an attack by Israeli forces.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces advanced into Swisah, continuing their breach of the ceasefire line—a pattern of incursions into southern Syrian towns observed since the fall of the Bashar al- Assad regime.
A local source told North Press that six individuals sustained injuries in the attack on the demonstration, with one person in critical condition.
The source explained that the residents of Swisah had taken to the streets to protest the Israeli forces’ incursion. The forces had entered the village, imposed a curfew, and demanded the surrender of weapons.
According to the source, the injured were transported to Golan National Hospital, while Israeli warplanes were seen patrolling the skies over the area.
Residents expressed growing concern over the continued Israeli advance, noting that their forces have moved over three kilometers beyond the established ceasefire line.
