Syria condemns Israeli strikes on Latakia, calls for global action

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned on Thursday the Israeli airstrike that targeted a site in Latakia, a coastal city in western Syria.

According to Syria’s state-run SANA news agency, the ministry urged the international community to take immediate action against Israel, hold it accountable for its “crimes,” and expose its Western backers.

The ministry reported that the aerial attack in Latakia injured two people and caused significant material damage.

It reiterated calls for urgent global intervention, stating that Israel’s continued aggression in the region demands swift measures from all nations.

Earlier, an Israeli airstrike targeted a site near Latakia and injured two people.
