Asayish reveal information about car blast in Syria’s Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) issued on Wednesday a statement on the explosion of a car that resulted in the killing of a woman and her son in the city of Qamishli in Northeast Syria.

The Asayish stated in a post on their official website that on Wednesday an explosion occurred in the city of Qamishli where a Hyundai van exploded in front of the post office in the al-Anteriya neighborhood.

They added that the explosion resulted in the killing of two civilians, a woman and her son.

The preliminary investigations indicated that the cause of the explosion was due to a bomb planted inside the vehicle, and their forces have begun extensive investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding this explosion, the statement read in Arabic.

At the end of the statement, they warned residents about any suspicious activities and urged them to report such incidents to maintain the security and stability of the area.

Earlier, a woman and her son lost their lives due to the explosion of their car in the al-Anteriya neighborhood, east of Qamishli, amid public outrage over the targeting of civilians and the threats to their lives.
