Iraqi forces destroy ISIS hideouts in Kirkuk

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Monday the destruction of two hideouts of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq.

Security Media Cell stated to the Iraq News Agency (INA) the destruction of two terrorist hideouts within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector.

The cell further added that through joint security work and the unification of information and intelligence effort between the Directorate of Military Intelligence and the Directorate of the Iraqi Asayish Sulaymaniyah Operations with other Iraqi units carried out a tactical operation in Kirkuk.

The statement added that “the security operation resulted in the destruction of two terrorist hideouts and two explosive devices, and the discovery of a quantity of weapons, various equipment and logistical materials.”
