AANES extends condolences to families of stabbing victims in Germany
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) extended on Monday condolences to the families of the victims in Germany and the German people following the attack in the city of Solingen.
The AANES underscored the urgent need for solidarity in facing challenges posed by the Islamic State (ISIS) against the security and stability of the region and the entire world.
ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack that took place during a festival in Solingen, which resulted in the killing of three people and injuries to eight others.
The AANES warned that attempts are underway to reorganize terrorist activities based on ISIS ideology and the extremism it promotes.
It warned against neglecting any efforts regarding this direction, as it has repercussions for all countries.
The statement stressed the AANES’ commitment to combating this global threat, urging all forces dedicated to defeating terrorism to join efforts with the AANES.
After the military defeat of ISIS in Baghuz in 2019 by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with support from the U.S.-led Global Coalition, the AANES continually warned that the group remains a threat as its dangers are not limited to a specific geography.
