SDF arrests 4 ISIS members in Syria’s Hasakah
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Friday the arrest of four members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the city of Hasakah in Northeast Syria.
The SDF’s Military Operations Teams (MOT) raided the hideouts of the four ISIS members in the neighborhoods of al-Nashwa and Guweiran in Hasakah.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the four members of the group whose names are Ahmad Jalal Abdelghani (Abu Jalal), Ali Muhammad Moussa (Abu al-Tayyib), both from Aleppo; Omar Hamid al-Issa (Abu Layth), from Deir ez-Zor; and the woman Noor Muhammad Moussa (Umm Islam), from Aleppo, the SDF added in a statement.
“During the operation, our forces seized a quantity of explosives and detonation devices, which the cell had planned to use in terrorist attacks against military checkpoints and civilian infrastructure,” the SDF statement read.
