Iraq announces arrest of 3 ISIS militants in Kirkuk

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Sunday the arrest of three militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq.

The arrest came during an operation which led to “identifying the precise whereabouts” of the group’s militants and their arrest, the Iraqi forces said.

“Upon interrogation, they admitted to being involved in multiple terrorist activities, including the assassination of members of the security services,” the statement added.

On Saturday, the Iraqi forces arrested a woman suspected of managing women’s prisons for ISIS in Nineveh Governorate in northern Iraq.
