IRGC advisor killed in Israeli airstrikes on Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – North Press obtained on Monday details regarding the Israeli airstrikes that targeted Iranian sites in Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria, and resulted in the killing of at least 16 Iranian-backed militants including an IRGC advisor.
An exclusive source told North Press that an Israeli airstrike, which took place at 12:25 am, targeted Iranian posts in Aleppo.
The source told North Press that the Israeli airstrike targeted a post in the village of Tel Shegheb in the countryside of Aleppo killing the head of the post, Haj Saeed Abyar and five of his companions.
Abyar was an advisor of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The second airstrike targeted an Iranian-Afghani military post in the town of Tamura, north of Aleppo, near the brass factory, resulting in the killing of six Afghani militants.
The source added that the third airstrike targeted a post in the village of Kafr Jum, southwest of Aleppo, which housed members of local forces affiliated with the Syrian government forces, resulting in the killing of three militants.
A fourth airstrike targeted an Iranian post besides the Oubari pharmaceutical factory, the source noted.
North Press revealed that the total causalities from the Israeli airstrikes exceeded 16 individuals, including six Syrians from the Shiite towns of Nubl and Zahraa, north of Aleppo, while the rest are Iranian and Afghani nationalities.
The source told North Press that one of the targeted posts was a security headquarters specialized in assembling drones and small engines. The headquarters houses Iranian officers overseeing operations in the western countryside of Aleppo in Base 46 in the city of al-Atarib west of Aleppo.
The source pointed out that the targeted posts were frequently being visited by the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Ismael Qaani, during his secret visits. The post was used by the Iranian-backed militants for recruiting and mobilizing individuals from the towns of Nubl and Zahraa.
