ISIS kills 3 militants of Liwa al-Quds in Syria’s Homs

HOMS, Syria (North Press) – Three militants of the Iranian-backed Liwa al-Quds were killed on Wednesday in an ambush set up by the Islamic State (ISIS) in the eastern countryside of Homs, central Syria.

According to a security source from Liwa al-Quds, a military vehicle carrying ammunition and weapons ambushed by ISIS near the main road east of Homs.

The source added that ISIS militants were wearing military uniforms of the Syrian government forces and set up a checkpoint on Homs-Palmyra highway. They opened fire on the military vehicle belonging to the Liwa al-Quds, resulting in the killing of three militants inside.

ISIS militants seized all the weapons and ammunition inside the vehicle after killing the militants, and then fled towards Homs desert, according to eyewitnesses who were shepherds.
