Turkish airstrikes kill 3 members of security forces in Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – The Sutoro Police, affiliated with the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish), announced on Wednesday three of their members were killed in Turkish airstrikes in the city of Derik, far northeastern Syria.
The Sutoro said in a statement that Turkish airstrikes targeted the vehicles which carried Muzaffar Muhammad, Jamil Hanna and Sharbel Saliba Sawmi, resulting in their killing.
Earlier on Wednesday, Turkish drone strikes targeted four vehicles in Derik.
The Sutoro or the Sutoro Police, is an Assyrian and Syriac police force operates in Hasakah Governorate.
Additionally, the statement pointed out that two other members of Sutoro were injured in the attacks.
