ISIS claims attack against SDC center in Syria’s Qamishli
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for attacking a center belonging to the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) on Monday night in the city of Qamishli, northeast Syria.
ISIS said in a statement via close media outlets that its militants targeted the SDC center in Qamishli with a hand grenade, resulting in the injury of one individual and causing material damage.
Late last night, an SDC center in Qamishli was subjected to a “terrorist attack” by unknown individuals who threw an explosive device inside the building’s courtyard, causing material damage.
On Tuesday morning, the SDC condemned the attack, saying, “the parties behind this attack aim to undermine our national stances, which involve promoting the intra-Syrian dialogue at the domestic level and ultimately achieving the democratic transition in Syria.”.
