4 guards in AANES facilities killed simultaneously in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Four workers were killed simultaneously on Sunday in three attacks in the countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria.
The men worked as guards in facilities affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
Local social media accounts said two guards in the Rafqa water station in Raqqa city, another working in the water station in the village of Mazra’at Kabsh, and another in an iron factory in the countryside of Raqqa, were killed in three simultaneous attacks.
A medical source in the Public Hospital of Raqqa told North Press the Hospital received the bodies of two guards working in the Rafqa water station. He pointed out the bodies were tied and had multiple stab wounds.
The source said that sleepers cells of the Islamic State (ISIS) were likely behind the attacks.
Meanwhile, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) have yet to comment on the incidents.
