Unknown gunmen kill Asayish leader in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor, Syria (North Press) _ A leader in the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria (Asayish) was killed and a member was injured by unknown gunmen who raided an Asayish post in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A security source told North Press that unknown gunmen, riding a motorcycle, raided  the Asayish post in the town of Gharanij, east of Deir ez-Zor, and opened fire at the leader and a member who were at the post.

The attackers fled after shooting the Asayish leader and member who were transported to Hajin hospital, according to the source.

The leader, Abo Ali al-Faliti, is the head of Gharanij Asayish Center and responsible for the checkpoints in the eastern part in Deir ez-Zor, according to the source.
