2 Syrian soldiers killed in Turkish strike in NE Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Two soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed and others were injured in a Turkish drone strike on their military post in the village of Dabbanah, south of the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria.
On Jan. 12, Turkey has launched another round of bombardment on areas in northern and northeastern Syria, knocking several vital infrastructure facilities, such as oil and power stations, out of service.
A local source from Dabbanah informed North Press that a Turkish drone targeted a post of the government’s Military Security Branch in the village, located 7 km south of the city of Qamishli.
The source added that the strike resulted in the killing of two soldiers and the injury of four others who were transported to the Qamishli National Hospital.
