Israeli aircrafts drop leaflets in south Syria warning people
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli surveillance aircrafts hovered over the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra, south Syria, for several hours after unknown groups launched rockets from Daraa towards Golan Heights, south Syria.
On Tuesday, rockets were launched from the western countryside of Daraa towards Golan Heights, locals told North Press.
The sources said that an unknown group launched rockets towards Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights.
It is most likely that the rockets were launched by groups affiliated with the Lebanese Hezbollah, as they were launched from a vehicle not from a ground launcher, according to the sources.
Israel responded to the rocket attacks, targeting several areas in the western countryside of Daraa and Quneitra countryside. However, no casualties were recorded.
Following the strikes, residents of the two governorates heard noises of aircrafts hovering over the area. The aircrafts dropped leaflets, warning the residents from carrying out attacks against Israeli settlements. “Launching rockets hurts locals and hinders the process of regaining normal life following years of civil war,” the leaflets read.
