Unknown gunmen target SDF in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor injuring 2 fighters

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were wounded on Saturday in two discrete attacks carried out by unknown gunmen in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A military source of the SDF in Deir ez-Zor said that unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle targeted Salman al-Aboud, 28, SDF fighter. Al-Aboud was transported to a field hospital in the village of Sabha, east Deir ez-Zor.

In a discrete incident in the same village, unknown armed people opened fire on Louay Hmedan, 23, SDF fighter, while he was on leave, injuring him in his shoulder, the source added.

Deir ez-Zor countryside witnesses security tension and repeated targets against security and military forces, local officials, and residents.
