SNA arrests 2 Christian men in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – Security service of Sultan Murad faction, affiliated with the Turkish backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), arrested on Friday two Christian men from the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), north of Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria.

They were arrested for demanding their properties that were taken as military and security headquarters by the Sultan Murad faction, according to an official of the Military Police, affiliated with the SNA.

Asef Melali, 47, and Zyad Asfar, 42, were arrested after they visited the Military Police center and demanded five houses as well as agricultural lands their families own in the city of Sere Kaniye, the source added.

“Properties of Maleli and Asfar are seized by the Sultan Murad faction and the agricultural lands are seized by Hamza Division, affiliated with the SNA, that cultivates and harvests them for its own, the source added. 

The two men were arrested 48 hours after arriving to the city, coming from Turkey, at the aim of demanding properties, the source pointed out.
