SDF announces arrest of ISIS operative in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the arrest of an operative of the Islamic State (ISIS) a day earlier in an operation supported by the US-led Global Coalition in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.

In a statement on its official website, the SDF said that Counter-Terrorism Units (YAT) of the SDF, backed by Coalition forces, carried out a security operation in which they arrested an ISIS operative named Muhammad Mahmoud Homadah in the town of al-Karama, east of the city of Raqqa.
The statement further noted, “The terrorist was responsible for smuggling the so-called cubs of the Caliphate (ISIS children) from the custody camps to the Turkish-occupied areas.”
The SDF said that YAT forces seized two smartphones, a telephone, a Wi-Fi device, as well as personal documents.
