3 rockets hit vicinity of Global Coalition base in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Three rockets hit on Sunday at dawn the vicinity of the US-led Global Coalition military base in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The rockets were launched from areas in the western countryside of Euphrates where the Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed factions take control.
Factions of the so-called Islamic Resistance, Iranian-backed group, have claimed responsibility for carrying out many attacks against the US and Coalition forces in Syria and Iraq since the outbreak of Israel-Hamas conflict.
A local source from the town of al-Ozba, east of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press that three missiles fell near Koniko oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where the Coalition forces are located.
The three rockets were followed by explosion inside the field, according to the source.
