Asayish arrest ISIS leader in Syria’s al-Ya’rubiyah

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced that they arrested a leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the town of al-Ya’rubiyah (Tel Kocher), east of the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.

The Asayish said in a statement that after a series of operations to tracked down terrorist cells, they managed to obtain confirmed information about the location of a cell in the countryside of the town of al-Ya’rubiyah.

The Asayish added that after obtaining sufficient information about the ISIS leader, their forces carried out an operation on Tuesday night and managed to arrest the leader.

The Asayish stressed the importance of residents to promptly report any suspicious activities or individuals in order to continue to maintain security and stability.
