Islamic Resistance targets al-Tanf US military base in Syria
ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – The so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), Iranian-backed militia, said on Wednesday that it had launched an attack on al-Tanf US military base, near the Syrian-Iraqi border, using two drones.
The IRI, said in a statement, that the attack hit the target directly.
However, the group did not mention any casualties or material damages.
The Islamic Resistance has carried out a series of attacks against US military bases in Syria and Iraq since the beginning of the war between Hamas an Israel.
The US Department of Defense (DoD) revealed on Monday that 23 attacks targeted US bases in Syria and Iraq since Oct. 17.
