SNA’s Military Police arrest 2 civilians in Syria’s Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Military Police of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) arrested two individuals in the city center of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), in northeastern Syria, on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria (AANES).
Residents in the cities of Sere Kaniye, Tel Abyad, and Afrin are being repeatedly arrested on charges of dealing with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the military wing of the AANES, and the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
A relative of one of the detainees told North Press that the SNA’s Military Police arrested two individuals from the main market street in downtown Sere Kaniye on charges of dealing with the AANES.
The source, who spoke not for attribution, added that the two individuals were arrested from their workplaces, noting that one of them works in a medical supplies store and the other in a carpentry shop. They are both original inhabitants of the city.
The families of both individuals express concern about their fate following the arrest, given the accusations directed against them, according to the source.
