Asayish arrests 6 ISIS militants in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) –The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Thursday that they have arrested six militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The Asayish said in a statement that their Special Forces (HAT) managed to arrest six militants of ISIS in a successful operation on Wednesday, in eastern Deir ez-Zor.”

“As a result of the security forces work in monitoring the files of terrorist organizations and through significant intelligence efforts, intensive investigations, and ongoing pursuit and tracking of suspects, along with support and participation from the US-led Global Coalition to fight ISIS, the locations of ISIS’s militants who were involved in targeting operations in those areas were identified,” the statement added.

They explained that their special forces carried out the security operation, gaining full control of the location. All militants of ISIS were arrested at their location, and their weapons were seized.
